Event Description.

Nigeria’s Islamic financial architecture has seen several developments in recent years. In 2015, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) set up a centralized advisory body that oversees that interest-free banking products in the country conform to sharia principles. On the other hand, the long-standing constraints that limit the Nigerian Islamic finance industry’s growth, include low awareness of Islamic financial products, along with skepticism and a lack of confidence by significant numbers of customers in the product’s sharia-compliance status.

In the backdrop of these, this year’s stakeholders’ conference shall be guided by the general theme: ‘’THE FUTURE  OF ISLAMIC FINTECH IN NIGERIA; PRODUCTS, POLICIES & SHARIAH COMPLIANCE.”
